TCN announces urgent outage at Gwagwalada 132/33kV transmission substation
The Transmission Company of Nigeria, TCN, has announced an urgent maintenance exercise scheduled at its Gwagwalada 132/33kV Transmission Substation on Monday, October 5, 2026, from 10:00am to 12:00pm.
The company said that the exercise will enable TCN maintenance crew connect an earthing reactor to a 60MVA 132/33kV power transformer.
Consequently, it said that the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company, AEDC, will be unable to offtake power to its customers at Watson door, Gwagwalada, and adjoining areas for two hours.
TCN apologised to the public for any inconvenience this maintenance will cause electricity consumers in the affected areas.
