The Transmission of Company of Nigeria, TCN, has informed the public that it has successfully restored the 60MVA power transformer at the Kukwaba 132/33kV Transmission Substation at 8:31pm yesterday, September 24, 2026, following an emergency maintenance.
The transformer, according to the Company, was opened and isolated at 1:35 pm on Thursday, to enable its maintenance crew replace a faulty blue-phase circuit breaker pole on the 33kV L31 feeder.
The maintenance work has been successfully completed, and the transformer has been restored to service.
TCN appreciates the understanding of Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) customers affected by the power interruption during the maintenance exercise.
