The newly appointed Director-General of the Renewed Hope People Advocacy, RHPA, Alhaji Armayau Abubakar, has committed to enhancing grassroots mobilization and civic engagement in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubuās Renewed Hope Agenda in anticipation of the 2027 general elections.
Following his appointment and subsequent decoration, Abubakar expressed his appreciation for the trust placed in him by the organization’s leadership, vowing to lead with integrity, inclusiveness, and accountability.
He stated that the organization would concentrate on mobilizing Nigerians at the grassroots level, advocating for good governance, bolstering democratic participation, and supporting the policies of the Tinubu administration.
According to him, the RHPA, under his guidance, will fortify its structures nationwide, empower its members, enhance communication, and deepen community engagement through advocacy initiatives.
Abubakar urged members, stakeholders, youth, women, traditional and religious leaders, as well as volunteers, to collaborate in building a united, peaceful, and prosperous Nigeria.
He also pledged allegiance to the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and reaffirmed the groupās dedication to democracy, national unity, economic empowerment, and sustainable development.
In a chat with journalists following the ceremony, the RHPA Director-General encouraged opposition politicians to join the All Progressives Congress, APC, asserting that President Tinubuās accomplishments have established the ruling party as the preeminent political force in the nation.
He noted that the APCās governance of numerous state governments, the National Assembly, and state assemblies reflects significant public support for the party.
He expressed confidence that President Tinubu would achieve re-election in 2027, asserting that the ruling party remains significantly ahead of its political rivals.
He said, “My message to the opposition is that it is high time at this moment in time to join the winning party, the APC. In Nigeria today, we don’t need opposition. mr. President has done a lot to the entire knock and crannies of this country.
“It is visible. His achievements are very very glaring. What can the opposition say against mr. President? I believe there’s nothing. So it is up to them to join the moving trend, the canoe of Noah, so that we can together move and reach the promised land.
“What I’m trying to tell you is that this is APC. Everybody knows, even the blind man knows that APC has taken over the country. We have almost all the governors together with us, members of the National Assembly are together with us. We have members of the State Houses of Assembly. They are with us. These are major stakeholders, and these are parameters that will show you that APC is already blessed by the entire Nigerians, and therefore I don’t see any reason why Mr President will not come back for the second time.
“What impact would the opposition make? It is very clear. What impact would they make? Where are the parameters? Where would they start from? We have already gone far, hundreds of miles away from them. APC is just like an ocean, the Atlantic Ocean, and other oceans put together, and you are talking of River Benue for the opposition. So that is just in comparison.”
Also speaking at the event, the National Women Leader of the Renewed Hope People Advocacy, Princess Dayo Fasola declared that women across the country were prepared to mobilise support for President Tinubuās re-election.
She said the organisation was committed to breaking the shackles of hopelessness and poverty through grassroots advocacy and mobilisation.
Fasola commended President Tinubu for promoting womenās inclusion in governance, recalling his record of creating opportunities for women during his tenure as Governor of Lagos State.
She described women as critical drivers of electoral success and national development, expressing confidence that they would play a decisive role in the 2027 elections.
In her remarks to journalists, Fasola said the opposition had failed to present a coordinated challenge ahead of the polls, insisting that the APC remained firmly positioned for victory.
She disclosed that the organisation had already begun nationwide mobilisation of women in support of President Tinubuās second-term bid, expressing optimism that the campaign would deliver success at the 2027 general elections.
She said, “Sincerely, I feel this game is not going to be fair because the opposition is more or less non-existent. They are not giving us a good run for the money. They are not coordinated. The coercion is non-existent, and it’s a pity. But then, when God wants to like complete your mission, He makes it easy. There’s zero opposition.”
