Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, has reiterated that his administration will not be distracted by discussions about the 2027 elections, saying his priority is improving the state.
Speaking on Saturday at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Umuikaa District Headquarters in Isialangwa South Local Government Area, Otti assured residents that his government remains focused on doing the right thing.
“I am not bothered about 2027 as the God that settled 2023 would equally settle 2027,” he said, adding that no individual or group can derail his administration’s agenda.
He stressed that the government would continue its work despite distractions, noting, “So, when they make noise we should just remain focused and do what we have to do.”
The governor also apologized for the dust caused by ongoing road rehabilitation along the Umuikaa Junction Owerrinta Road, explaining that such inconveniences are part of development.
“We are at the final stages of dualising this road And as we are doing this, we are also doing the one from Onuimo to Tower,” he stated, highlighting the administration’s broader infrastructure plans.
